Well here it is. My first adventure into blogging. As a non tech type of person, its taken me awhile to figure this all out. Hopefully you'll all be patient with me as I explore the blogging world.
Today I am getting ready to go to a job nearby, and help a homeowner organize her storage area in the basement. I've got a van full of shelving...hope I can get it all down the stairs! This is a regular client, whom I enjoy working with. I think that's one of the best parts of my job. I get to meet so many fantastic people. Its a huge satisfation for me to help people solve their organizing dilemas and to see the difference it makes in their lives. The basement in question is really not that bad, just needs a few tweaks and some purging.
Most people think if they hire an organizer we'll make them throw everything out.... not true. We let you keep one or two things...KIDDING! Its all up to you. You decide what is meaningful to you, we help you focus on what you want from the space and whether that item fits your vision. Its sometimes hard to get rid of the "stuff" but ultimately, you need to decide whats more important. The "stuff" or the space. The more space you have, the more you can keep. If you have a 4 foot closet...you can only have clothes that fit in it. If you have a walk in closet with oodles of shelving and rack space...you can keep more. Its simple math. Professional organizers help you manage that space to it's full potential. Its a lot of work sometimes, but always worth it in the end.
Well, short and sweet...my first post. Its now official. I've joined the online world. AHHH!
