Power of Women

Girl Power! When we were kids we used to joke about it. As an adult I can see it. I belong to a phenomenal womens networking group called POWE (Power of Women Exchange) Check out the site at http://www.powe.ca/ Its not like any other networking or business group out there. When you walk into that room full of other women entrepreneurs...you get a great feeling of girl power...or women power! Women in business have a different way of networking and growing their business than men. Women work on building relationships and refer those who they know and trust. I have met some incredible women through POWE and know that I will be learning from them each day. I think the best part of POWE is the support and encouragement that you get. Everyone there is there to help you and themselves to be the best you can be, while offering help and guidance when you need it and I've made some fantastic friends in the process. Yesterday I had the pleasure of going to the Markham Chapter Launch with Director Michelle Butt from "The Human Experience" http://www.thehumanexperience.ca/ what a fabulous event! There were over 70 members and non-members who enjoyed a great lunch, speakers, vendor tables and networking opportunities. You could feel the buzz in the room. Michelle is one of those people who seem to just be able to do it all, and make it appear so easy. I'm sure that the members of the Markham chapter will only grow, as the other chapters have.
